Half rest
two beats of silence
As a Unicode character — to paste into text, spreadsheets or chat. Whether it appears depends on the font.
In the score
What it means
A block sitting on the third line. The only difference from the whole rest is whether the block hangs or sits, which is why they are easily confused.
