Easy guitar songs

33 songs with chords, in levels by their shapes: first the ones with three open chords, then the barre-free ones, then the rest. Where a capo saves the barre, the fret is given.

Whether a song is easy on the guitar is decided by its chords: how many, and whether one needs a barre. The site knows the usual shape and its effort for every chord — and tries every capo position: »Twinkle Twinkle« is in C and needs F; with a capo on the third fret it is A, D and E7, and it still sounds in C. Every song comes with notation, words and sound.

Three open chords or fewer

No barre, at most three shapes — with or without a capo.

Open chords only

No barre, but more shapes to change between.

With barre

At least one shape needs a finger across the strings — even with a capo.
